Offered here is a Kimber SIS Custom chambered in .45 ACP, a distinctive full-size 1911 originally developed around the Los Angeles Police Department Special Investigations Section (SIS) configuration. This example features the characteristic SIS slide serrations, dark finish, ambidextrous thumb safety, beavertail grip safety, and distinctive laminated wood/stippled Kimber grips. The SIS Custom was built around a 5" barrel and 8-round magazine capacity. This pistol is equipped with the distinctive SIS-style rear sight with an extended front shoulder, designed to provide additional purchase for manipulating the slide, along with the specialized SIS slide serration pattern.
