What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"I always keep the Downpour Pants in my daypack. They're lightweight, easy to throw on over boots with the long side zips, and super reliable when I get caught in a surprise downpour mid-hike."We pull on the Downpour Pants when thunderclouds creep in and trail conditions start to shift. Designed with soft-feel 2. 5-layer Pertex(R) Shield fabric, these pants provide packable protection that doesn't sacrifice comfort. Whether we're trekking through misty forests or scrambling slick ridgelines, these pants stay dry, breathable, and easy to layer over boots and base layers. With articulated knees, a gusseted crotch, and storm-ready features like a part-elastic waistband and adjustable hem, they're made for movement in the mountains. We count on the 3/4 length zips for fast changes when skies turn without warning and use the hook-and-loop storm flaps to control airflow without letting moisture in. Lightweight and protective, these pants are a year-round staple for hikers and hillwalkers alike.
