EGW Sight Mount Features The EGW Sight Mount is machined from aluminum with a left-to-right progressive-taper dovetail that matches the factory cut on compatible Taurus pistols allowing it to slide into place without gunsmith fitting on most guns. Once installed it accepts a Vortex Viper or Venom using the included button head cap screws or a Burris FastFire or Docter sight using the included flat head cap screws. Mounting hardware sized for a 5/64-inch allen wrench ships with every mount. EGW recommends applying blue Loctite to the mounting screws and torquing them to 15 in-lbs to keep the optic secure through recoil. At 1.811 inches long and 0.99 inches wide the mount closely tracks the factory rear sight footprint on the Taurus G2C G2S G3 PT-111 PT-140 G2 PT-709 PT-740 and TX22 avoiding unnecessary bulk on the slide. Because the mount uses the factory dovetail interface the original rear sight can be reinstalled at any time if the optic is removed. EGW notes that modification of a firearm may affect the manufacturer s warranty and recommends the mount be installed and checked by a qualified gunsmith.
