At the heart of this design is Aero&';s proprietary Aero Taper Lock Attachment System (ATLAS), which uses two mirrored tapered locking nuts that distribute evenly balanced clamping pressure across a custom-engineered barrel nut via a turnbuckle screw. A ratcheting detent further locks the system in place, providing positive registration and preventing handguard distortion during installation. ATLAS Handguards are designed to pair seamlessly with Aero&';s M4E1 Threaded Upper Receivers and are also compatible with any Mil-Spec AR-15 upper receiver. All mounting hardware is included.
