What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying: "I like this binding for everyday skate skiing when conditions change. The shift lever is intuitive, and you can actually feel the difference when you move the binding forward or back."Quiet tracks, steady tempo, and repeat laps call for gear that keeps things efficient without overthinking it. The Prolink Shift Skate Binding from Salomon is designed for skiers who want straightforward skate performance with the ability to adjust feel as conditions evolve. We use the shift system to fine-tune balance depending on snow speed, moving the binding forward for more engagement or back for a freer glide. The low-profile interface keeps the ski feeling stable underfoot, while the ergonomic lever makes adjustments easy between laps, even with gloves on.
