What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"I wore the Scala BOA Snowboard Boot through a solid week of resort riding and what kept standing out was how the Support Frame in the Cloud 3 liner held its shape day after day without any of the softening you usually get mid-trip with a boot in this flex range. Being able to re-tighten the liner mid-run without pulling my shell laces was a small thing that ended up making a big difference by the end of each afternoon."Some boots ask you to break them in. They need a few painful days before they start cooperating, and by the time they feel right, you have already lost a weekend to sore feet and second-guessing your stance. The Scala BOA Snowboard Boot from Nitro takes the opposite approach, arriving ready to ride with a Cloud 3 liner built on a pre-molded Thermacell chassis that fits well from the very first run and keeps fitting well long after other boots have packed out and gone soft. Dual BOA dials split the work between the instep and the tongue, letting you set hold and response independently so the boot is working with your foot rather than around it. The H4 COILER on the tongue takes up slack in a hurry, which means getting locked in at the top of a run takes seconds rather than a chairlift's worth of fussing. Underneath the liner, the Interlock System ties the heel of the liner directly to the shell, so there is no migration, no slop, and no energy lost between your intention and the edge of your board. It is the kind of system that you stop noticing after the first few turns, which is exactly the point.
