Sealed ball bearings separate this Pro model from the standard Sphinx for higher efficiency. Unlike most pulleys with fixed side plates, the Sphinx lets you tie a prusik knot on one side (aramid cord recommended) for rigging haul systems or managing crevasse rescues.
