Product Description
RIFLE: INLAND MANUFACTURING MODEL 30 CARBINE IMPORTED BY NA, SERIAL NUMBER 534007, BLUE, CASE NOT INCLUDED, SEMI - AUTOMATIC, 30 CARBINE, 18"
Notes:
This is an Inland U.S. Carbine M1 manufactured at the General Motors Plant. Before you get too excited, read the description thouroughly, it has a lot of discrepencies.
The barrel states Inland Manufacturing Div. General Motors '43.
The receiver says: U.S. Carbine Cal. 30 M1. ~ Inland Serial# 534007
The barrel strap says: J.M.O.
I believe all metal parts are original. However, all metal parts have been painted black. It has been converted to a "paratrooper" style stock. However, the stock is not a good fit and the pistol grip looks hand carved. There is no movement from the gun in the stock, but there are gaps and what seems like missing screws (matbe they were unnecessary when converted). The magazine has rust on the outside. The under folder works, but is difficult to open and close, it's like the pins don't line up perfectly.
This gun is operable and could be fun to shoot or restore. Buyer beware, there is NO current collector value here.
