The Taurus GX2 TORO brings genuine optics-ready capability to Taurus's already popular GX2 compact 9mm, without sacrificing the affordability that made the original a runaway value pick for everyday carry. Built around a 3.38" Sharpshooter barrel and stainless steel chassis, the TORO slide features a direct-mount Shield RMSc footprint, meaning red dots like the Holosun 407K/507K/EPS Carry, SIG ROMEOZero, or Shield RMSc mount straight to the slide with no adapter plate needed. A flat-faced trigger and hinged trigger safety deliver a crisp, predictable break, while a three-layer safety system — manual safety, striker block, and trigger safety — adds extra peace of mind for daily carry. The polymer frame includes an ergonomic grip shape with interchangeable backstraps and a Picatinny rail for mounting lights or lasers, and Glock-pattern dovetail iron sights (white dot front, drift-adjustable rear) serve as a reliable backup to any red dot. At just 19.04 oz unloaded and shipping with one 13-round magazine, this Gray TORO variant offers serious optics-ready carry performance at one of the most accessible price points in its class.
