"What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:""The GOREWEAR Drive Vest lives in my running pack permanently now because it weighs nothing and has bailed me out on more windy runs than I can count. The high collar is a detail I didn't expect to appreciate as much as I do, and the WINDSTOPPER membrane keeps the wind out without ever making me feel like I'm overheating mid-effort.""The run that punishes you for not bringing a layer and the run that punishes you for bringing too much are both avoidable with the right call. The GOREWEAR Drive Vest is that call. At two ounces and small enough to stow in its own back pocket, it costs you nothing to carry and delivers genuine WINDSTOPPER protection from GORE-TEX LABS the moment conditions demand it. GOREWEAR designed it for runners who move fast and think ahead, and the result is one of the more quietly essential pieces in a well-built running kit. The WINDSTOPPER membrane is totally windproof and extremely breathable, which means it does its job without creating a new problem in the process. The semi-transparent polyamide outer layer gives the vest a distinctive look that stands apart from standard running kit, and the high collar seals the gap between vest and chin where wind tends to find its way in first. Highly reflective color-tone tape and logo details keep you visible when the light drops, and the full length zip with underflap gives you control over how much the vest opens up as your effort and temperature rise."
