"What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:""I put the Eiger Free Advanced HS Pant through a full freeride day with variable snow and some unexpected wind exposure up high, and the GORE-TEX ePE membrane kept me completely dry without ever feeling clammy on the bootpack. The 2-way vents were easy to crack open mid-climb, and I never once thought about the pants again after that.""The kind of objective that demands a hardshell pant isn't usually a casual one. It starts with a predawn skin, moves through exposed ridgeline wind, and ends on a steep descent through variable snow that punishes anything less than full commitment. The Eiger Free Advanced HS Pant from Mammut was developed alongside elite freeride athletes for exactly that kind of day. The GORE-TEX ePE membrane delivers a 28,000mm waterproof rating and a breathability score of RET less than 13, handling both sustained effort and full storm exposure without compromise. Pre-shaped knees and a pocket pleat give you unrestricted movement on any terrain, while integrated snow gaiters with anti-slip grip keep the hem locked over your boot on the way down. The neoprene-lined phone pocket and outside-adjustable waistband round out a pant that earns every dollar of its price tag."
