A 1950-marked GRI No. 1 Mk III* rifle is a post-WWII Lee-Enfield bolt-action rifle produced at the Ishapore Rifle Factory in India. ""GRI"" stands for Georgius Rex Imperator (King George VI), indicating Indian manufacture under British authority. These rifles were, and often still are, used for military and police service, with 1950 production reflecting the continued, late-period manufacturing of the Mk III* variant. Tan canvas sling is attached. CONDITION: Metal has 70% finish with bright bore and strong rifling. Numbers matching but magazine is non-matching. Stocks are good with handling marks from use. Faint cartouche on right side and number 38 painted on the left side."
