Product Description
"The original Schofield was developed as a pistol for mounted combat with a rapid reload capability. Unlatch the top, rotate the barrel downward, at the stop it will raise a ""hand"" to eject all empties simultaneously, drop cartridges into the chambers, close until it latches, and you are good to go. The original was designed for a short .45 cartridge called the .45 Schofield. These revolvers required the Schofield, but the Single Action Army needed .45 Colt. The military chose to supply the short cartridge for all pistols, simplifying logistics. This one is chambered for .38s, allowing them to enter Cowboy Action Competitions. This one was manufactured in 2007 and is in excellent condition."
