The .22 Cal 95 grain HPBT MatchKing (#1396) from Sierra sets the bar for long-range small-bore precision. Introduced in January 2018, this bullet incorporates a .27 Cal elongated ogive and a final meplat pointing process to dramatically enhance its ballistic coefficient, giving it exceptional aerodynamic stability and retained energy over distance. The 1.50 deg bearing surface to ogive angle, engineered to match popular chamber throat designs, ensures exceptional bullet-to-bore alignment for unmatched consistency. While ideal for record-breaking competition, MatchKing and Tipped MatchKing bullets are not intended for general hunting use due to their non-expanding construction, though varmint hunters sometimes deploy them for their accuracy. Best performance is achieved with rifles using a 1:6-1/2 inches or faster twist rate. Sierra MatchKing bullets are trusted by both recreational and pro-level shooters Known for excellent accuracy and reliability, this ammunition consistently delivers top-tier results
