Pelican?s 1637 Air Case delivers heavy duty protection in a lightweight package. Like all the premium cases in the Air series, the 1637 Air Case is up to 40% lighter than hard cases of a similar class. This can be attributed to Proprietary Polypropylene Blend construction, which both reduces weight and gives the 1637 Air Case outstanding crush, shock, and impact resistance. To prevent water from seeping in, the 1637 Air Case features an EPDM O-ring seal, as well as a Hi-Flow Gore-Tex 3 Micron Hydrophobic Non-Woven purge valve which enhances water resistance even further and helps prevent vacuum-lock. The 1637 Air Case also features a folding carry handle on the top, and a retractable handle on one end with smooth rolling wheels on the other end promotes easy transportation.
