Just like the standard versions, the MCX SPEAR-LT IR combines the lightweight modular design of the MCX Gen 1 with the durability of the MCX VIRTUS, resulting in a system that is lightweight, durable, modular, and accurate. To ensure maximum ruggedness and rigidity, the MCX SPEAR-LT’s handguard incorporates 2 additional screws in the handguard to provide maximum deflection capabilities, allowing more accessories to be added to the handguard without interfering with the rifle’s point-of-aim/point-of-impact. The handguard is also lighter than prior versions, and was designed with an emphasis on ergonomics. Similar to the handguard, the barrel has a reduced weight but has a slightly larger contour, promoting greater accuracy without adding unnecessary weight.
