The HNT26 is a purpose-built hunting chassis that comes equipped with a wide array of MDT exclusive features. When designing the HNT26, a large emphasis was placed on weight reduction. This was achieved by utilizing carbon fiber and magnesium as its primary building materials, giving the HNT 26 a weight of just 31 ounces. In addition to saving weight, the carbon fiber and magnesium construction makes the HNT26 incredibly durable and rigid, and an enclosed carbon fiber forend provides additional strength. Another hunting-oriented features is a snag-free design – a feature clearly evident in its smoother, less aggressive shape and a seamless integration of the magazine latch into the trigger guard. Other features of the HNT26 includes its carbon fiber stock with a foam filled interior to deaden sound/absorb recoil, and features an adjustable cheek piece.
