"What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying""The ThunderStorm is one of those boards that just makes you want to push harder. The medium camber and 6. 0 flex give it real edge power on groomers, but the high nose uplift and Sidekick shaping keep it genuinely capable in softer snow. I was impressed by how easily it went switch too — it doesn't fight you like a dedicated directional board would. The Step Down Rails topsheet is a nice touch; you can actually feel the difference in precision when you're laying down a carve.""Who It's ForIntermediate to Advanced All-Mountain and Freeride Riders:The ThunderStorm suits confident riders who want to cover the whole mountain with authority. It's a great fit for someone who spends most of their time on resort terrain and groomers but wants a board that can handle powder days and the occasional park lap without feeling out of place. The unisex sizing range — from narrow 144N to wide 162W — makes it accessible to a wide variety of riders. What It's ForAll-Mountain Snowboarding with a Freeride Lean:The ThunderStorm is built primarily for resort riding and freeride terrain, but its directional-hybrid shape means it handles switch riding and freestyle moves well enough to blur the lines. The high nose uplift and medium tail uplift give it a clear powder-friendly bias, while the medium camber and Tri-Ax lamination keep it locked in and responsive on harder snow. It's a board that performs best when you're moving fast and committing to the mountain. Why We Like ItFreeride Performance with Freestyle Flexibility:What makes the ThunderStorm stand out is how much range it covers without feeling like a compromise in any direction. The Ultra Light Core (70/30 paulownia and poplar) keeps it nimble despite a stiffer flex, and D. S. T. SuperTubes add pop and snap to the camber without tightening up the torsional feel. The Step Down Rails topsheet is a genuinely useful feature — the tapered deck profile reduces weight and sharpens carving precision.."
