This is a bore rider bullet design. Only a short section of full .308 diameter remains seated in the case neck. Forward of this, the bullet transitions to bore diameter, which aligns it precisely with the rifle bore- even before firing. This alignment reduces yaw and improves concentricity for enhanced accuracy. Because the nose begins at bore diameter, it doesn't engrave into the rifling.
