Gamakatsu Offset Shank Worm EWG Hooks are the standard for worms and creature baits. We love the bend on these hooks and the super sharp point. These fishing hooks work best for thick bodied worms, craw, and creature type baits because of the extra wide gap. An extra wide gap is defined by the distance from the point of the hook to the bottom of the curve of the shank. EWG hooks are good for plastic baits that have a bigger body to them. If the gap is too small, upon hook-set the point of the hook won&';t be able to come through the plastic to pierce the fishes mouth.
