"Men's Altra® Lone Peak 9 WP Mid: The Altra Lone Peak 9 WP Mid is a waterproof mid hiking boot built for men who want ankle support, all-day comfort, and reliable trail protection on day hikes or longer backcountry adventures. It carries forward the zero-drop platform and roomy FootShape fit that Lone Peak fans know well, so your foot sits naturally flat and your toes have room to spread and move. If you've been looking for a waterproof hiking boot that doesn't compromise on fit or ground feel, this is a strong option to consider. The Altra EGO midsole foam keeps the ride comfortable and connected to the terrain underfoot, while the 25 mm stack height gives you enough cushioning for long days on the trail without lifting you away from the ground. The MaxTrac outsole grips across varied surfaces, and Stoneguard technology adds protection underfoot against rocks and roots. A no-sew overlay with recycled polyester mesh, an overlay cage, and a molded heel collar work together to keep the fit secure and the foot protected. Webbing ghillie integrated lacing locks things down without pressure points, and GaiterTrap attachments let you add a gaiter when conditions call for it. At 15.95 oz for a men's size 10.5, it's a capable hiking boot that doesn't feel unnecessarily heavy on the trail. Why Our Fit Experts Love This Shoe""I recommend these to hikers who want that classic Lone Peak feel but need waterproofing and a little extra ankle coverage. The zero-drop and wide toe box are still there, so if you're already a Lone Peak person, the transition to this boot feels natural. The Stoneguard is a nice touch for rocky terrain - you notice it on technical sections."" - Dave, Road Runner Sports Fit Expert, San Diego, CAWho It's Best ForIf you're a hiker who prefers a zero-drop, foot-shaped fit and wants waterproof protection with mid-cut ankle support, the Lone Peak 9 WP Mid is worth a close look.
