The Aimpoint PRO has a 1X magnification, allowing it to be used with both eyes open for rapid target acquisition while maintaining full peripheral vision. Made for continual deployment, the unit is designed to be turned on and left on, the power knob being used principally to adjust the 6 levels of dot brightness. One 3V lithium battery (included) lasts approximately 30,000 continuous hours. The Aimpoint PRO Reflex Sight is made for real world conditions with a hard anodized aluminum alloy housing, and is waterproof to 150 feet.
