The CZ75 D PCR is a lightweight, accurate, and highly ergonomic variant of CZ’s flagship handgun – the CZ75. The “PCR” designation stands for Police Czech Republic, after the organization the pistol was originally designed for. The PCR is similar in profile to the CZ75 Compact, but is an entire ¼ pound lighter thanks to its forged aluminum alloy frame. This small size and reduction in weight makes the PCR a comfortable option for everyday carry. Like all of the handguns in the CZ75 series, the PCR is exceptionally ergonomic thanks to its optimized grip geometry and textured rubber panels. The PCR is also outfitted with a de-cocking lever, allowing the user to safely lower the hammer. This feature, and the PCR’s DA/SA trigger adds an additional level of safety as the user can carry the handgun with the hammer down. With the hammer down, the first trigger pull is relatively longer and heavier similar to that of a double action revolver, so pulling the trigger requires a conscious decision.
