The Rock & Lock Flashlight Mount by Daniel Defense was specifically designed to be used with a vertical fore-grip mounted on the bottom picatinny rail. By positioning the flashlight close to the vertical fore-grip, the shooter's thumb is placed in the perfect position for quick access to the flashlight's rear activation button. This also helps prevent accidentally activating the flashlight.
