A star-fangled nut needs to be pressed into a steerer tube to a specific depth and it needs to be driven in straight. This tool, especially when combined with our star nut setter guide, accomplishes both of those tasks easily. Thread the star nut onto the setter, place it over the end of the steerer, and using your favorite hammer, drive the star-fangled nut home. Compatible with 1" and 1-1/8" steerer tubes.
