These Darjeeling tealeaves are Chinese in origin, but grown and picked in the verdant foothills of northwestern India. Blossomy and copper-colored, their mixed heritage imbues them with floral flavors you'll be savoring sip after sumptuous sip. Estate Darjeeling tealeaves were deftly picked from the prestigious Monteviot Estate, one of the smallest and oldest tea plantations in India. This is located in the heart of the famous and geographically protected tea region of Darjeeling. Here, the summer rains and cool Himalayan air lend the leaves intricate nutty overtones, along with notes of muscatel, making them taste a little like Muscat wine. There's a reason they call Darjeeling "the Champagne of teas!" You can purchase the tea in an elegant 50-servings canister specially decorated to evoke its exotic origins. Alternatively, purchase a 1lb bag to make it last much longer. Simultaneously refreshing and invigorating, it's the perfect tea any time of day. This tea can be enjoyed hot or as a loose-leaf iced tea. When preparing it hot, steep it for 3-5 minutes at 208 F. For iced tea, use 2 tsp per 8oz glass. Estate Darjeeling Black Tea is a creation of Tea FortA .
