Proof Research Bolt Action Steel Barrel .264 28in 7.5 Twist Competition Contour. These Rifle Barrels by Proof Research are precisely machined to provide an optimum combination of high tensile strength along with requisite toughness to withstand extreme chamber pressures encountered during firing. Likewise Proof Research Bolt Action Carbon Fiber Lineup Barrels provide an optimum combination of low dispersion along with requisite toughness to withstand extreme chamber pressures encountered during firing. And when you need to chamber a cartridge you need a SureFire steel barrel not cast or forged. For a long time forged and forged steel have been the go-to materials of choice for high-end firearm barrels but they have always been slightly overpriced. Now you can get the same great performance in a new unused barrel from Proof Research or you can grab one of their used barrels and do the chambering yourself. Either way you've got an optimum combination of high tensile strength along with requisite toughness that withstands the extreme chamber pressures encountered during firing.
