Shock load calculations have proven Carbo Air blocks superior to other attempts at reducing torsional flex in the running and control modes. The basic design of the Carbo Air block utilizes a special structural Carbo Air body incorporating a special structural honeycomb of Carbo compo parts. This allows special splines to be effective over a wide range of breaking loads and temperature conditions. The Carbo Air block sliding surface has also been modified to provide the lowest possible friction in order not to damage the sensitive nature of the Air blocks sliding surface. An improvement over older designs using different Carbo Air surfaces now gives even greater strength to the entire system.
