Be sure old gasket is removed from mounting base; Apply a thin coat of oil to filter gasket. Make sure the gasket is seated properly in base of the filter; Screw on until the gasket contacts the base. Tighten 1 - 1-1/4 turn; Use an acceptable filter wrench if necessary. Do NOT exceed 1 - 1-1/4 turn; Refill crank case and run the engine while checking for leaks; Check oil level;
