The Tufnol sheave means that static cannot build up in the block and cause electrical discharge. Tufnol is a bearing-grade material so it gives a low-friction surface for the wire to run on and minimizes the number of moving components, giving it reliability and durability. The cheeks are made from marine grade 316 stainless steel as is the pin and retaining nuts.
