The 688 series builds upon the 686 series with numerous improvements to help give shooters an edge over the competition. The Performance Sporting series features a heavier steel receiver for less felt recoil along with a new top lever design for reduced hand fatigue by making the action easier to open and close. The 688 also sports Beretta's gold-winning Steelium barrels that can be further customized with OCHP chokes. This model features a two-tone gray birch wood laminate stock and is chambered in 12 gauge with a 3-inch chamber.
