Introducing the Alpine MDT, a groundbreaking addition to Weathersby's rifle lineup built on the innovative model 307 bolt action platform. Designed to complement the legendary Mark V and Vanguard series, the model 307 features a robust 2-lug, fully cylindrical action that seamlessly integrates with a wide array of aftermarket accessories. Partnering with MDT, Weatherby has crafted an ultra-lightweight chassis rifle that excels both on the range and in the field. The carbon fiber chassis boasts a foldable buttstock, reducing overall length by over 9 inches when collapsed, a perfect choice for compact storage and easy maneuverability. Engineered for practicality and ease of maintenance, the model 307 action includes a tool-less bolt disassembly feature, allowing hunters and shooters quick access for field stripping. Equipped with an M16 style extractor, the bolt ensures reliable extraction and ejection under any conditions. The Alpine MDT sets new standards with its TrigerTech field trigger and PEAK 44 picatinny rail, offering precise control and accessory compatibility. Sitting on MDT's lightweight HNT26 chassis system, purpose-built for hunting, it features V-block bedding, adjustable length of pull, an adjustable comb and accommodates AICS magazines. Weighing a mere 26 oz, the chassis combines magnesium alloy with carbon fiber components for durability and reduced weight. Its integrated ARCA rail on the forend facilitates tripod attachment, enhancing stability and accuracy in diverse hunting environments.
