The Underwood Ammo Xtreme Defender builds on the proven performance of the Xtreme Penetrator, delivering unmatched stopping power and barrier-blind effectiveness. Engineered with an optimized nose flute, precise weight distribution and high velocity, this solid copper projectile achieves up to 18 inches of penetration while creating a massive permanent wound cavity (PWC). Unlike traditional hollowpoints, the Xtreme Defender's PWC is over 100% larger and maintains its devastating effectiveness even through barriers such as wallboard, sheet metal and automotive glass. Encased in nickel-plated brass, this ammunition ensures smooth feeding, superior corrosion resistance and long-term durability. Unlike standard brass, our nickel-plated cases resist tarnishing from moisture, leather and other elements, making them ideal for carry and storage. Every round is loaded with flash-suppressed powder, preventing muzzle flash from compromising your vision in low-light conditions. As with all Underwood Ammo products, the Xtreme Defender undergoes rigorous real-world testing with popular firearms, ensuring superior performance and reliability when it matters most.
