Product Description
At the heart of our barrel manufacturing process lies an unwavering commitment to quality, beginning with the selection of premium materials such as certified 4150 mil-spec steel or 416-R stainless. Each barrel undergoes a meticulous series of tests at every stage of production, culminating in a nitride finish and a final inspection. Precision custom hardened Gauges are used to individually verify headspace, ensuring each barrel meets our exacting standards. Introducing Faxon's MATCH series barrels, where our legendary performance and value are elevated to new heights. Crafted in-house from gun-barrel-quality bar stock, the Match series begins with 416-R steel and features 5R rifling. This innovative rifling design, with lands opposite grooves and reduced sharp angles, minimizes jacket deformation, enhances velocity and simplifies cleaning. The barrels are chambered in .223 Wylde, a hybrid chamber that fully leverages the benefits of 5R rifling, offering superior accuracy through reduced bullet jump. Each barrel is thoroughly MPI tested to ensure your safety. Following rigorous testing, the barrels receive a nitride treatment both inside and out, which fortifies the bore, extends barrel life and provides robust protection against the elements. The extension is coated with Nickel Teflon, delivering exceptional dry lubricity and corrosion resistance. This coating also enhances the fit between the extension and receiver, further improving accuracy. The Match series barrels are engineered to deliver unmatched performance and value, whether you're responding to a call of duty or competing in a timed event. With their superior craftsmanship and innovative features, these barrels are ready to meet the demands of any situation with precision and reliability.

Magnetic particle inspection (MPI) for optimal performance to ensure optimal performance, it is essential to conduct magnetic particle inspection (MPI) with precision and adherence to established protocols
This non-destructive testing method is employed to detect surface and near surface discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials
By applying a magnetic field to the test object and introducing magnetic particles, any disruptions in the magnetic field caused by defects become visible, allowing for accurate identification and assessment
Proper execution of MPI requires a thorough understanding of the equipment, materials and techniques involved, as well as strict compliance with safety standards and guidelines
