EGW Remington 700, 722 and 40x long action heavy-duty scope bases offer the adaptability of a one-piece picatinny scope rail for your shotgun, eliminating the need for drilling or tapping. These bases are precision-machined from extruded aluminum, featuring picatinny slot-and-rail spacing that facilitates quick and straight forward adjustments to eye relief, providing significant flexibility in scope selection. They are pre-drilled to align with the factory scope mount holes on the firearm's receiver and are compatible with both picatinny and weaver scope rings. The heavy-duty mounts are designed to be 0.1 inches lower than the lightweight mounts, reducing weight and positioning the optic closer to the barrel centerline to enhance accuracy. The full-width cross-slots are manufactured to MIL-STD 1913 specifications with a tolerance of +/-0.002 inches. Constructed from ultra-rigid extruded 7075-T6 aluminum, the package includes socket head Torx screws and a wrench. EGW advises applying 20 in-lb of torque and a drop of blue Loctite for optimal installation.
