Streamer and leech flies tend to be larger and are fished with an active retrieve to imitate baitfish, crayfish, larger aquatic insects and leeches. Big fish eat big flies so keep steamers in mind when looking for your next trophy. Fishing these patterns actively in a retrieving manner can trigger explosive strikes. This technique of fly fishing will catch fish in lakes, streams or rivers.
