The Stearns Utility Boat Cushion is a practical piece of marine safety equipment for boats, canoes, kayaks, and other recreational watercraft. This blue and black model is a U.S. Coast Guard-approved Type IV throwable flotation device designed to be kept readily accessible so it can be tossed to a person in the water during an emergency. Its rectangular 16 by 14.4-inch form also provides a convenient place to sit when it is not being used for flotation, making it useful aboard smaller craft where storage space and seating are often limited. The cushion has a 200-denier nylon Oxford outer shell surrounding durable Crosstech flotation foam. Long black straps extend around the cushion and provide secure areas to grasp, helping the person in the water maintain a hold while also giving someone aboard the craft a practical way to handle the device during rescue efforts. Its straightforward design does not require inflation, adjustment, or complicated preparation before use. The highly visible blue surface contrasts with the black straps, while the low-profile shape allows the cushion to fit beneath a seat, alongside other required safety equipment, or in another accessible storage area. Because this is a throwable flotation cushion rather than a wearable life jacket, it is intended to supplement the properly fitted personal flotation devices carried for each passenger. It is a sensible choice for anglers, paddlers, and recreational boaters who want required throwable flotation equipment that can also serve as an extra seat cushion during ordinary time on the water. Keep the cushion unobstructed and within easy reach whenever the watercraft is underway so it can be deployed promptly if needed.Specifications and Features: USCG-approved Type IV throwable flotation device Doubles as a flotation cushion and boat seat 16 x 14.4-inch rectangular design Blue cushion with black rescue straps 200-denier nylon Oxford shell Durable Crosstech flotation foam Straps aid handling and rescue Color: Blue/Black Brand: Stearns Series: Utility Cushion Product Type: Throwable Flotation Cushion Manufacturer Part Number: 3000004484 UPC: 044411060352
