Surefire SOCOM 3 Prong Flash Hider Features The Surefire SOCOM 3 Prong Flash Hider uses a patented three-prong design engineered to reduce muzzle flash typically by more than 99 percent which helps preserve a shooter s night vision and reduces signature during low-light shooting. Precision machined from U.S. mill-certified heat-treated stainless steel bar stock the flash hider is built to withstand the stress and heat of repeated firing without losing its shape or alignment. A DLC coating is applied to resist erosion keeping the flash hider performing consistently even after extended use. Every unit is carefully inspected for concentricity and alignment which matters most when the flash hider also serves as the mounting point for a suppressor. Threaded 5/8x24 for compatibility with 5.56 NATO and .223 Rem barrels the flash hider provides a rock-solid quick-detach mounting surface for a Surefire SOCOM series fast-attach suppressor. That dual-purpose design means a shooter gets a highly effective flash hider on its own with the option to add a suppressor later without swapping the muzzle device. The robust tines are built to withstand the rigors of hard use including combat and duty-grade conditions. For shooters looking for a durable flash-reducing muzzle device with a proven suppressor mounting platform the Surefire SOCOM 3 Prong Flash Hider is a dependable choice.
