Spyderco Para Military 2 Salt Features The Spyderco Para Military 2 Salt is built around CPM MagnaCut a steel developed through extensive in-house testing and judged worthy of inclusion in Spyderco s elite Salt series specifically because of its rare combination of edge retention toughness and corrosion resistance. The 3.45-inch blade is full-flat ground a grind chosen to maximize cutting efficiency while still preserving enough edge geometry for durability during hard use. Because MagnaCut resists corrosion so effectively this knife is particularly well suited to wet humid or saltwater environments where lesser steels would require constant maintenance to avoid rust. The blade s precision machining reflects Spyderco s broader reputation for tight tolerances and consistent fit and finish. The handle combines black and yellow G10 scales with Spyderco s Caribbean Bi-Directional Texture machined into the surface to reveal the underlying yellow layer in a high-visibility color-contrasting non-slip pattern. This texture is not just cosmetic it gives the user a confident grip even when hands are wet or gloved a real advantage in marine or outdoor settings. Staying true to the Salt series design philosophy the knife s nested liners four-position pocket clip and all remaining hardware are built from corrosion-resistant marine-grade materials rather than standard steel components. Weighing 3.9 ounces and measuring 8.26 inches overall the Spyderco Para Military 2 Salt is a rugged corrosion-fighting folder for anyone who regularly works near water.
