Leapers Quick-Detachable AK Side Mount Features The Leapers UTG Quick-Detachable AK Side Mount attaches to the side rail found on most standard AK and AKM pattern receivers using a tool free tension adjustable quick release lever for fast installation and removal. This steel reinforced 6061-T6 aluminum construction gives the mount the rigidity needed to hold zero even through repeated mounting cycles which matters for shooters who swap optics between rifles or need to remove the optic for storage. The automatic locking lever design means the mount seats firmly against the receiver every time it is attached though centering relative to the bore may vary slightly depending on the specific rifle s manufacturing tolerances. A universal 16 slot Picatinny top rail runs the length of the mount providing ample real estate for a red dot or low power scope. Two side M-LOK slots on the mount allow shooters to attach additional accessories such as lights or lasers directly to the mounting platform consolidating gear onto one solid base rather than running separate rails on the handguard. At 6.69 inches long 3.14 inches tall and weighing just 5.4 ounces the mount is a lightweight addition that does not significantly change the balance of the rifle. The matte black anodized finish resists wear and matches the finish of most AK pattern rifles. For AK and AKM owners who want a quick detach optics mount with added accessory capability the Leapers UTG Quick-Detachable AK Side Mount is available for sale at GrabAGun.
