Hunters Specialties Open Reed Features The Hunters Specialties Open Reed Predator Call uses an open reed design that gives the caller direct control over airflow and reed tension which translates into a wider range of coyote vocalizations from one call. This versatility lets a hunter move between distress sounds howls and barks without switching calls mid-sequence keeping the setup simple in the field. The open reed configuration rewards practice with more realistic varied tones than a closed reed design typically allows giving experienced callers more expressive control over their sequences. This makes the call equally useful for locating coyotes at a distance and closing the deal once one is working in. Built from rubberized material in a black and red color scheme the call is designed to produce a natural sound that closely mimics real wildlife rather than a flat artificial tone. The rubberized construction also offers a water resistant quality helping the call perform consistently even in damp field conditions common during predator season. Being a mouth call rather than an electronic unit it requires no batteries and works reliably in any weather or location. For predator hunters who want one versatile durable call capable of a full range of coyote sounds the Hunters Specialties Open Reed Predator Call is a dependable choice.
