Hornady Superformance Features The Hornady Superformance line uses progressive propellants that boost velocity up to 200 fps above conventional loads without increasing chamber pressure felt recoil or muzzle blast. This velocity gain flattens trajectory and extends the practical range at which a hunter can make a confident shot on game. The 180 grain SST bullet in this .308 Win load combines a polymer tip with a boat tail design for consistent expansion and improved ballistic coefficient downrange. Because the propellant technology works within standard pressure limits this load also avoids the temperature sensitivity and fouling issues that can plague other high velocity ammunition. Brass cased and reloadable this Superformance load gives hunters the option to recover and reload cases after a successful hunt. Hornady built the Superformance platform to work across its lineup of proven bullet designs including SST InterLock CX and V-MAX giving shooters velocity gains without switching to an unfamiliar projectile. The 20-round box supports both practice at the range and a full magazine in the field during hunting season. This combination of increased velocity and proven bullet performance makes Superformance a strong choice for .308 Win rifle hunters.
