What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"I started using the Grivel Crampon Safe after destroying one too many dry bags with unprotected crampon points on alpine approaches. The cut-resistant fabric handles what crampons do to ordinary materials, the mesh panel lets everything dry out properly after wet days on the mountain, and the dual zip makes getting crampons in and out quick even with cold hands."Crampons are one of the most destructive things you can put inside a pack without the right containment. Sharp steel points have a reliable talent for working through unprotected fabric, and the Grivel Crampon Safe exists to stop that from happening. Cut-resistant fabric and a reinforced base keep the points where they belong while protecting everything else in your kit from accidental damage during transport. The large dual-zip opening makes loading and unloading fast even at the trailhead in the cold, and the mesh ventilation panel lets moisture escape after wet approaches or post-use storage so crampons dry properly rather than sitting damp between objectives. Available in standard and small sizes to cover nearly the full Grivel crampon lineup, this is straightforward protection that earns its 100 to 135 grams every single time you pack for the mountains.
