Underwood Ammo Xtreme Defender Features The Underwood Ammo Xtreme Defender load in .327 Federal Magnum pushes a 95 grain solid copper bullet to a blistering 1500 feet per second generating significant energy transfer on impact for a cartridge already known for its magnum performance. The Lehigh Defense designed projectile uses a fluid displacing nose geometry rather than traditional expansion meaning it reliably creates a large consistent wound channel even after passing through heavy clothing or other barriers. Because the bullet is a monolithic copper solid there is no jacket to separate from a lead core removing a common failure point in personal defense ammunition. This load is built for shooters who carry a .327 Magnum revolver and want maximum stopping power in a small frame package. Underwood Ammo hand loads its ammunition in small batches at its Sparta Wisconsin facility allowing tighter quality control than typical mass production ammunition lines. Each round in this box is loaded to the same demanding velocity specification so shooters can expect consistent performance from the first round to the last. The .327 Federal Magnum cartridge itself offers a flatter trajectory and lower recoil than larger magnum rounds while still delivering serious performance for personal protection. Packaged 20 rounds to the box this Xtreme Defender load is a smart choice for range verification testing before carrying it in a daily defensive revolver.
