Shield Sights AMS Features The Shield Sights AMS is the first enclosed-emitter optic from Shield Sights combining the durability advantages of a fully enclosed housing with the company s proven Shield footprint. The enclosed design protects the emitter from debris moisture and impact damage that can affect open-emitter reflex sights carried daily giving duty and concealed carry users a sight built to survive holster wear and hard use. A 4 MOA dot size strikes a practical balance between precision for aimed shots and speed for close-range target acquisition suiting both defensive pistol work and faster carbine-distance engagements. Because the footprint matches Shield s existing lineup the AMS mounts directly to pistols already cut for that pattern without needing an adapter plate simplifying installation for anyone upgrading from an open-emitter Shield optic. Co-witness capability with standard-height iron sights means shooters retain a mechanical backup sighting option directly in the window of the optic adding a layer of redundancy if the dot ever fails or the battery runs down unexpectedly. The black anodized aluminum housing is built to withstand the recoil and holster wear that come with daily carry and duty use standing up to repeated draws and re-holstering without degrading. A CR2032/2025/2050 compatible battery system delivers up to 20 000 hours of battery life keeping the sight ready for extended periods without frequent maintenance or battery swaps. Straightforward adapter-free installation on a wide range of factory optic-ready pistols makes the Shield Sights AMS a practical enclosed red dot for sale at GrabAGun appealing to concealed carriers and duty shooters alike who want dependable enclosed-emitter performance.
