Shield Arms Extended Magazine Features The Shield Arms Extended Magazine starts with a genuine Glock 17 OEM magazine body and adds five rounds of capacity through a billet 6061 aluminum extension giving shooters 22 rounds of 9mm on tap without switching to an aftermarket magazine body. Type 2 anodizing on the extension provides a durable corrosion-resistant black finish that matches factory hardware and holds up to repeated insertion and removal from a mag pouch. Index cuts machined into the extension body improve grip when drawing the magazine under stress a small detail that speeds reloads in competition or defensive use. An included plus-10% power spring compensates for the added rounds keeping feeding reliable across the full extended capacity. A standout feature is the easy-access floor plate design which lets shooters service the spring and follower or simply clean the magazine body without removing the extension from the magazine simplifying maintenance considerably compared to typical extended magazines. The extension is designed to fit OEM Glock magazines only and works with most aftermarket flared magwells giving it broad compatibility across a Glock 17 owner s existing gear. Shield Arms backs the extension with a lifetime warranty and their Spring for Life guarantee reflecting confidence in the design s long-term durability. Proudly made in the USA this magazine upgrade is a straightforward way to add real capacity to a duty or range-ready Glock 17.
