Beargrease is Salsa's fat-tire bike built to roll with the control and composure of a modern trail MTB. A long, stable wheelbase and balanced weight distribution make it easy to find traction and navigate loose, steep terrain -- the 27.5 x 4.5" tire clearance doesn't hurt, either. Rack, Three-Pack, and accessory mounts offer ample space for your race-day or out-all-day kit. Whether you want to tackle winter ultra events, hit hot laps on snowy singletrack, or just wander without worrying about the terrain, Beargrease is your bike. Key Features - UDH-ready carbon fiber frame that's stiff for maximum pedaling efficiency while keeping weight to a minimum. It also helps reduce trail vibrations for a smoother ride. - Modern trail bike geometry grants stability and control in steep terrain and soft conditions. - Clearance for up to 27.5 x 4.5" or 26 x 4.8" tires for enormous traction and float that helps you stick to your line in steep, soft, and loose terrain. - Redesigned Bearpaw Carbon fork offers ample cargo space, with two sets of Three-Pack mounts and mini-pannier compatibility. Beargrease also supports suspension forks up to 100mm travel. - Internal dropper post routing for more control in challenging terrain and when mounting and dismounting in deep snow. - The main triangle fits three bottles on SM-XL frames (two on XS frames), and is rear rack compatible with the Salsa Rack-Lock Seatpost Clamp (sold separately). Direct-mount frame bag mounts in the main triangle (carbon frames only) make for an extra-secure, streamlined frame bag setup. - Top tube mounts for bags or K-Edge computer mounts, plus a mount under the downtube for a repair kit, stove fuel, or other accessories. - Downtube fender mount (carbon frames only) helps keep debris at bay.
