Offered is a highly desirable 1951 Tula Arsenal Russian SKS-45 chambered in 7.62x39. This early-production Soviet military rifle features the distinctive Tula Arsenal star-and-arrow marking and is dated 1951 on the receiver cover.
The rifle is in near-mint condition, displaying exceptionally well-preserved finish and wood for its age. The bore is bright and shiny, and the rifle has matching numbers, adding considerably to its collector appeal. It retains its original military configuration and bayonet and cleaning rod and brush
The receiver is marked "RUSSIA SKS 7.62X39 NHM SAC. CA," indicating importation by New Helvetia Mercantile of Sacramento, California. The original Cyrillic serial marking " 4126" is present on the receiver.
