evo.com | Head Skis > A ground-up redesign of a women's freeride staple, the Head Kore 87 Ti W Skis are lighter and livelier than their predecessors while adding two layers of titanal for noticeably better dampening and edge control. The women's-specific Poplar/PET core is tuned for a more responsive flex and a new profile with more rocker in the tip and tail makes it surfier and more maneuverable in variable snow. At 87mm underfoot, it's narrow enough to carve with purpose on hardpack but versatile enough to venture off-piste whenever the mood strikes. We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width. Dual Titanal Layers Two Titanal layers provide stiffness with optimal dampening characteristics, for a superior ride quality and a better feel on snow. Poplar and PET Wood Core Traditional Poplar with stringers from recycled PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) beverage bottles TNT Rocker Ample rocker in both tip and tail for a playful ride that also happens to be superior in powder. Beveled Sidewalls A mini-cap over the top edge aids durability Freeride enthusiasts looking to drive wider skis without fear of pre-release have long looked to the Marker Griffon 13 ID Ski Bindings for their fantastic performance and reliability. They return with a re-worked Inter Pivot 3 heelpiece that significantly improves step in performance, thus eliminating the one qualm that some users had. Meanwhile, the redesigned Triple Pivot Elite 3 toe comes equipped with a new metal rail to scratch off ice and snow below your boot sole. And with Sole.ID technology to accommodate almost every boot sole norm, the Marker Griffon 13 ID Ski Bindings have you covered each and every time you click in. We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width. AFD Gliding Plate All Marker bindings (except the Jester Pro) are equipped with a moveable AFD (Anti Friction Device), allowing a precise release unhindered by dirt, snow, and ice buildup. The type of AFD is matched to the skier type, ensuring perfect functionality from racing to junior and even alpine touring. Triple Pivot Elite 3 Toe Toe construction with impressive retention when freeriding. The spring in the toe is inserted horizontally and with a sole plate inclined by 5deg it provides the highest energy absorption so as to reduce the risk of early release. The large supporting surface optimizes the power transmission and allows for great stresses and strains. Inter Pivot 3 Heel The newest generation Inter Pivot heel offers improved step-in performance, with a magnesium heel bracket for power transmission and energy absorption.
