The Jess Boot trades a slip-on fit for a tall shaft and speed-lace front, adding coverage and a more adjustable hold up the leg. A felt collar sits at the top for extra warmth where cold air tends to get in, while the same removable, multi-layer insulation system used across Baffin's Tundra Rated boots keeps the whole build rated to -22degF. A B-Tek Dry Waterproof Base and Polar Rubber outsole handle wet snow and cold-weather traction, and the boot stays snowshoe compatible for days that call for it. What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"I can lace this snug at the ankle and looser up the shaft depending on how much I'm moving that day, which a slip-on boot just can't do. The felt collar is the detail I didn't expect to notice, but it keeps drafts out at the top in a way most boots skip."
